Łukasz Sławiński (also known as Pikier) is known
mainly as a constructor of Weak
Opening Systems (popularly called Strong Pass Systems) and the theory of lead
systems (Combine leads). However, he has been researching almost all areas of
bridge, always trying to grasp the essence, often in defiance of popular
beliefs. In particular, he elaborated the theory and practical algorithms of
bidding (not translated to English yet), practiced for years and clarifying
former fallacious beliefs, providing ease of mind and self-assurance to the
user.
Pikier = Polish bridge bulletin 1981–85.
Later, only on the web (www.Pikier.com).

Teaching |
Real
algorithm of good bidding and others |
Pikier teaches what is most important in bridge – the mechanism and the algorithms of the game – based on his own innovative methods, especially the unique theory of natural bidding.
Pikier prefers gradual teaching – based on deals played by the student on BBO.
Pikier will point out the mistakes, will comment and explain them, attaching mini-lessons.
Pikier’s
comments and lessons:
Will be sent by e-mail as DOC (MS
Word) files not later than 3 days
after the deal was played.
It’s best to print the file and read it
while watching the LIN file.
Of course, watching both files on the computer screen is also possible.
If a deal was not played with Pikier – the
LIN file has to be submitted.
Online play on BBO with Pikier as
partner:
Actual play is „silent” – Pikier doesn’t talk a lot during play.
Any
comments / lessons / analysis (if ordered) will be sent later by e-mail.
Price list:
Deals played with a student (only play) on BBO = $2 per deal
The analysis with mini-lessons attached = from $3 to $10 per deal
Some deals do not
require a comment, some require only a brief comment.
If that is the case, Pikier will adjust his royalty accordingly, leaving the surplus amount on the student’s account (to be refunded).
Other services – to be negotiated.
Procedure:
1) To pay some amount to Pikier’s account: 71 1140 2004 0000 3002 3872 1032
2) To send Pikier an e-mail: redakcja@pikier.com ( or pikier@op.pl )
3) To await the confirmation by e-mail.
